1200 Kids Are
Now Safe In Bet Shemesh - But Only While The Funds Last!

We are expecting costs for keeping these kids out of harm
to be OVER $100,000 (That's what the 2nd Lebanon War Relief
Program cost) Today, we have only 20,000 NIS ($5000) in the
bank for this!
Unless YOU
help, we will have to tell these kids to go back to the bomb
shelters, danger, and the terror of Hamas Missiles!

Every Day of this War, Hamas a firing Tens of Missiles into the
South of Israel. Missiles struck populations in Ashkelon, Ashdod, Sderot,

One Thousand kids have been bused up to Bet Shemesh from towns and communities throughout
the south. These communities include: Ashdod, Kireat Gat, Shomreiya,

Centers and Schools throughout Bet Shemesh. Local families are also
hosting families form the South.
The Bet Shemesh Municipality,
non-profit organizations including Lema'an Achai, Table to Table, Amutat

bringing immediate
help to those now under missile-fire who are living in bomb shelters,
and providing safe refuge in Bet Shemesh. In Bet Shemesh
the same cross-community team are helping, who
joined together
during the 2nd Lebanon War in 2006 to arrange a safe haven for over

schools, community centers, sports halls and in private homes. That
program dubbed "City of Refuge" received a citation in the Ben Gurion
University Report on the 2nd Lebanon War, and the Bet Shemesh Prize
of 2006/7.

Help now! Immediate assistance
includes...
- Accommodating people from the South, here in Bet
Shemesh. Currently over 1000 kids and many families;
we are expecting more families will also come and are preparing
for this!
- Deliveries to families in bomb shelters: toys,
games, books, heaters
- Getting ready for our population in Bet Shemesh
also being hit (missile range so far: 40km; Bet Shemesh
is 45km from Gaza).
- Educational & emotional relief programs for the kids
- schools throughout the South of Israel are now closed
down by law, so we are supplying school-hosting, using Bet
Shemesh public buildings.
- Crafts & Trades Fair: in planning is a nationally
publicized event to help small businesses closed
down due to the war.
